I have yet to find Crystal Pepsi. Kind of bummed, I liked that.

But yes, Surge should stay. I'd love for there to be a Surge Zero.

Just get a liter of seltzer water and mix an entire bag of sugar into it. Then you’ll know what crystal pepsi tastes like. It has no flavor at all now.

I think there’s a Crystal Pepsi locator of their website.

Surge originally came out when I was in high school. we used to make “Power Surges” which was Surge + Bacardi.

I found it to be better than normal Pepsi.

I was born in 1990, does this mean I can go back to catching frogs and riding dirtbikes and not paying rent now?

It didn’t seem to leave the same filmy aftertaste as normal Pepsi, it was quite refreshing.

Absolutely. I got one Sunday night, and the first thing I noticed was how it has no flavor at all.

Surge...I only ever knew one guy who drank the stuff, and it was at a pace of about 4 liters a day. Yeah, he was a sort-of-straightedge metalhead. Don't worry, the irony of pumping all that caffeine into his body was not lost on us. We eventually convinced him beer was safer.

Hi! Born in '88 myself. Tried exactly this. Didn't work. Bills just kept coming. All we get is the soda, sadly.

I liked Crystal Pepsi. I also liked New Coke, though.

I couldn’t believe it when I saw new Crystal Pepsi. Haven’t come across Surge, yet. Now can they please bring back Gatorgum?

And I think the opposite - flavorwise that is.. Tastes the same as it did back then like a Sprite/Pepsi.

I did notice the one I drank the other day had like 70 Grams of Sugar. I now recall why I was high as a kite in the early 90's riding the bus home.

I cannot believe I didn’t have a heart attack then.

With Jolly ranchers melted in the bottom. Oh the lat 90's..... Shoot, early 2000's too I think.

Boo. My mom didn’t let us have soda (or chips, or game consoles, or cable TV, or a microwave...) so I’m not even nostalgic for it.

What was the reasoning behind all that? Either you had a sheltered upbringing or I had a sordid one...

Money was part of it, as was Mommy Wars type crap among the people my mom associates with (they were convinced microwaves caused cancer, for example). Mom also didn’t approve of aforementioned dirtbikes, but at dad’s house we also got microwave popcorn AND we could watch The Simpsons.

Please, Pepsi? You can have my first-born and all the money I spend on Coke now. I’d offer you a kidney but I’ll kind of need those to process the six-pack a day I’d probably drink if you’d just give me back my precious.
